oletherosLast month, I moved out of my deluxe four person corner office that I had to myself into a cube in client space. Last week, the client saw me at my desk and said "What are you doing here?" Today, I moved back into my company's space. Unfortunately, my choice office had been immediately occupied by my favorite team, which took the sting out of things. So I have ended up in a quiet cave by myself. Tomorrow I aim to take steps to turn it into a disco office. Goals!
Novelwise, I'm on track to write 30,000 words in 60 days with very little sign of stopping. In one of the sections, I'm transcribing elements of my recent breakup into the motivations of a central character. Never leave a writer with unresolved issues is what I'm saying.
I lost my credit card this morning and went through a mini comedy of errors to get it cancelled. At one point, the automated system asked me for the security number on the back of the card, which I was calling to report lost. As in, I didn't have it for reference. And, of course, I found it when I got home. So that's annoying. Still, I figure it does a body good to change infrastructure for a few days - disrupt the routine.
